This Privacy Policy explains how Ansit.pk (“we”, “us”, “the site”) handles information about the people who use https://ansit.pk. By using the site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details. If you create an account we store your name, your email address and your password. Passwords are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form; we cannot read them.
- Messages and reports. If you use the contact form we keep your name, email address, subject and message. If you report a wrong MCQ we keep the report together with your name and email address so that we can follow it up.
Information created as you use the site
- Practice results and progress (signed-in students): scores of tests and practice sessions (subject, topic, number of questions, correct answers, time taken), best scores, Mastery progress and the place where you stopped in a Practice session.
- Preferences such as dark mode, saved in your browser.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data. Like most websites, our server receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. For signed-in sessions we keep the IP address and browser details of the session for security, so that you and we can recognise unusual sign-ins.
- Cookies and local storage. See section 4 and our Cookie Policy.
You can use most of the site without an account and without giving us any personal information. Guests keep their scores only in their own browser.
2. How we use information
- to run the site: sign you in, save and synchronise your progress, show your results;
- to answer messages, review reports of wrong MCQs and improve the content;
- to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and limit repeated requests;
- to understand, in totals, how the site is used (for example how many quizzes are taken);
- to show advertisements, and to measure how ads perform (see section 5);
- to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who we share information with
We share information only with:
- Service providers that host and operate the site for us, who may process data only to provide that service;
- Advertising partners such as Google, as described in section 5, when ads are shown;
- Authorities, if the law requires us to, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the site.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small session cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser’s local storage to remember your settings and (for guests) your scores. These are needed for the site to work as you expect. When advertising is switched on, our advertising partners also use cookies. Details, and how to control them, are in the Cookie Policy. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s previous visits to this website or to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- To learn more about how Google uses data when you use partner sites, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you choose “Essential only” in our cookie notice, we ask Google to show you non-personalised ads. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google’s own consent message before personalised ads are served.
6. Other third-party services
- Google Fonts. Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details.
- Links to other websites. The site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
We do not currently use third-party analytics services. If that changes, we will update this policy.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your account and progress data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page; this removes your profile, saved progress, quiz history and sign-in sessions. Reports of wrong MCQs that you sent may be kept after that so that corrections remain traceable. Contact messages are kept for as long as we need them to answer and improve the site, and are then deleted.
8. Security
We protect information with measures such as hashed passwords, limits on repeated sign-in attempts and restricted access to the administration area. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please choose a strong password and do not share it.
9. Children
Ansit.pk is meant for students of secondary and intermediate classes and for adults preparing for tests. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your choices and rights
- You can change your name and password on the Account page and delete your account there.
- You can ask us to correct or delete other information we hold about you, or ask what we hold, by contacting us.
- You can clear cookies and local storage in your browser, and change your cookie choice with “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EEA or the UK), you may have additional rights under local data-protection law, such as the right to object to or restrict processing. We will respect them as the law requires.
11. Where data is processed
Our servers, and those of our service providers and advertising partners, may be located in countries other than the one you live in. By using the site you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those countries.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. If we make an important change we will say so on the site.
